9 SWISS - RESPONSIVE SIMPLICITY AT ITS BEST!

I came across a really clean, simple, website for a design agency called NINE SWISS which is based in Australia. I love the simple layout, the amount of negative space, the logo, the colors, and the way the examples are displayed on each page. Plus, it's a totally responsive site. This is a good example of a website that can easily be viewed on a smartphone like an app. The site also received an honorable mention on AWWWARDS.com website awards.

From the website's ABOUT page: "NINE SWISS IS ADAM BOAL.
Based in Melbourne Australia, Adam has over 13 years of experience in design and development working in some of Australia's top agencies with both large blue chip clients as well as smaller businesses. Offering services such as branding, interface design, website design and development, mobile design and user experience, Adam is always looking for a challenge."

From ibrandstudio.com, where I found this website, "Most websites are designed for the desktop, and mobile devices are considered afterthoughts. This website design takes the opposite approach; when you’re on the desktop version, it feels as though you’re on a mobile site." This is a little unusual, but I still like the site's minimalism and Swiss-style aesthetics.

I keep being drawn to the logo. It's so simple, perfect. Also, the transitions between pages are really cool, so you should visit the site and check it out!

AWARD WINNING SWISS WEBSITE. THE SWISS HAVE THAT CERTAIN SOMETHING!

Check out this Swiss website, STUDIOVS, which is one pretty slick design studio website. The layout, the typography, the colors, the icons, the transitions, the organization—all remarkable. And, I really like how they communicate how they work—the teams, the process, etc. Really excellent company. (It's in Dutch, but you can translate to English.)

This is the landing page. Everything sort of vibrates until you click in the center, then things move around and it looks really sweet.

This is one of the pages that shows a little video underneath a transparent screen; you just click "view case" and you are taken to the page that details the complete case and work for the client.

They have several pages that illustrate how the company works. Here are two such pages.

The site has won several awards:

Finally, a page for clients who want to start a project. Scroll down on this page and it collects all necessary info.

I particularly like the color scheme. It's bold and attractive! The typography is beautiful, and the layout is perfect on each page. Easy to navigate, this site is completely responsive. The more you browse around the site, the more cool details you will see. There are really nice hover effects and transitions. Once again, the Swiss understand design, if I may generalize. :) Love it!

Café Evoke—Cool Coffee Shop Website!

What a cool site! I was searching for clean, responsive websites, and I was surprised to find such a great coffee shop website! I love the simplicity, the easy navigation, the simple typography (it seems to be a current trend to use typefaces like courier these days on websites. I love it! I didn't used to like Courier much at all). The logo is memorable and creative. The colors are bright and cheery, the subtle details are perfect, the icons are great, and the photographs work really well. Nicely responsive and super-clean, but with rich color and vibrance that adds an inviting feeling. Creative and really sweet website. It definitely makes me wish I could go there, but it's in Oklahoma. :)

Adventure Website

I just started an internship for which a team of us (developers, marketers, designers, etc.) are designing a travel search engine type website, somewhat like Kayak or Travelocity but on a smaller scale. The ADVENTURE website, a webpick of the day on Commarts.com, is kind of like that but has so much more! It's for people who are REALLY looking for a special trip or adventure. Visit the site: http://adventure.com/.

The website is responsive, bright and exciting, pretty easy to navigate, and beautifully designed. It has some amazing features. It's a great idea—you should definitely check it out, especially if you enjoy travel and adventure!
